About Kashif

A builder's perspective at executive scale.

I'm a Canadian product, technology, and operations leader with more than two decades of experience turning complex software work into coherent products, teams, and business outcomes.

Career arc

Technical depth. Product judgment. Operating range.

My career began close to the work: software development, business analysis, project delivery, and product management. That foundation taught me that the hardest technology problems are rarely only technical. They sit at the boundaries between a customer need, a product decision, a team's capacity, and a company's commitments.

Since joining Userful in 2013, I have progressed through product and engineering leadership into the Chief Operating Officer role. My work now spans the operating system behind a global enterprise software business, with a particular interest in aligning strategy, product, engineering, quality, delivery, and customer outcomes.

I write to make that cross-functional work more legible: how leaders can design decision systems, scale delivery without scaling friction, treat quality as an organizational capability, and translate between technical reality and commercial consequence.

How I work

01

Clarify the decision

Separate the real choice from the activity surrounding it, then make evidence and trade-offs visible.

02

Design the system

Improve the flow of context, authority, and feedback so good decisions do not depend on heroics.

03

Stay close to reality

Connect executive language to customer experience, technical constraints, team conditions, and observed outcomes.
